Head of the Military House

The Military House is the direct support organ for the President of the Republic, in his capacity as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and is responsible for:

  • Provide information on the military, internal and international situation, as well as on strategic issues of interest to national defense and security.
  • Maintain liaison with the ministerial departments that supervise the Armed Forces, military and paramilitary, as well as with the command or direction organs.
  • Support the President of the Republic, in collaboration with the protocol services, in all acts and ceremonies, civil or military.
  • Articulate with the Presidential Guard regarding the protection and security of the President of the Republic and their families, as well as the services of the Presidency and the official residences of the President of the Republic.
  • Collaborate with the Civil House in the preparation and organization of the daily activity of the President of the Republic.

 

The Military House includes a Chief, with the rank of not less than Colonel, defense and security advisers, a field helper with a patent not inferior to Major.

The Head of the Military House should direct and coordinate all activities of the Military House

  • Serve as a liaison between the President of the Republic and the defense and security departments and agencies.
  • Represent the President of the Republic in military acts and ceremonies, whenever this is determined.
